Just thought I wanted to share a link: http://unity3d.com/unity/coming-soon/unity-3

Release must be semi-close as they are taking pre-orders for it! This can only be good for those of you who hope to see IM on xbox360.... I guess there is a very real chance of zps putting it out for that platform considering that unity said they are working closely with developers with relevant projects to have some launch titles ready!

The Reverb Zones sounds good as well - I wonder if that is what they are using in the last part of the video log for running man? Or if its home-made?

Anyway....All of this can only be good for IM and ZPS! :)

That demo video looked pretty damn good. Excited to see more games made without the Unreal engine.

Ah, U3. An acronym I can stand behind unlike a certain one that is similar but befitted with an extra vowel.

I wonder if this will over-step it?

The tech demo is really impressive. I'd love to see how this scene would perform in Unity 3 vs Unity 2 seeing as Unity 3 has all these performance improvements with Lighting systems.

Impressive stuff, thanks for the heads up.

Couldn't help to notice this though:

Want to make a game for iPhone, web and XBox 360?

Are there any games built with the Unity engine, that doesn't run either through a website, or on the iPhone?

Yeah :)

Foreign Legion: Buckets of Blood

Bob Came In Pieces

Those are all that I have right now. There are more, I'm sure.

@forgefire - I have made my own "prebaked" reverb-solution, but I'm definately looking forward to more have more FMOD features implemented, as Unity 2.6 doesn't have any realtime audio processing.

ah ok. Hopefully it means you will be able to get things done faster when 3.0 ships then :)

Just read on the unity forums... I cant belive they didnt write this in their annoucment and features for 3.0 but it seems to be official that playstation 3 support is also coming (source: http://forum.unity3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=45787)

GDC started yesterday, and is still going afaik.

I'm pretty sure they are more or less always reading the board, just that they don't really comment on our speculations. If you start joking around you can usually lure one out :)

Yeah, that seems to be some of the best bait.

And then when they're lured out, weaken them with your negative comments on Interstellar Marines, and then finally throw out a Sharkball.

Gotta catch em' all!
