We have been Greenlit!
published Tuesday, 16 Oct. 2012, 12:35 by heks
Thanks to the wonders of the intarweb, and our amazing community in particular, we have been greenlit today on Steam!
First of all a HUGE thank you goes out to all of you who helped spread the word to the masses and up-voted our game on Steam - we really couldn't have done it without you!
What's next?
Well, this is only the beginning – we still have to finish the game.
Right now we're in the middle of submitting a project to Kickstarter to raise funds for the remaining development of Interstellar Marines: Prologue. If the project is a success, we can ramp up the team, which speeds up the development and helps us get more updates out the door and finish the game.
So our fight continue – SEMPER FI!
FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME,
Your team at Zero Point Software

Great, i hope this game has vehicles (which have a first and third person view) to increase the tactical combat it worked for halo , it has cross platform support, there is an option to have a third person view in single player, its on the Wii U, ios, ipad, android and htc (Because the engine is capable of that and the sharks aren't the only enemies-then i will in time become a spearhead, the only suggestion i really care about to upgrade is the shark one.

when i said its on the Wii U, ios, ipad, android and htc i meant as well not for those platforms only
forgefire:

making an fps for mobile platforms while wanting to use the neweste technology seems pretty unlikely moskrat ;)
I can however confirm that the sharks arent the only enemy...in fact they are far from the main one.
moskrat:

thanks (spearhead inbound by July) i guess they could put it on the Wii U can't wait to see the developers reply

Does being greenlit give you anything beyond additional publicity? Of course, for a project like Interstellar Marines, that's just about the most important commodity there is, but on the greenlight announcement, it made vague allusions to offers of assistance.

I have seen the games on kickstarter and IM will pwn them, the only games possibly comparable are Orion and Take down and even those are no match

Nice to see the game I have been following since 06 is really coming along, and now that you guys have been greenlighted hopefully more people will stand up and take notice of the game. The expansion of your team from a Kickstarter should greatly speed up development of IM.

DFModmaster nope just steam keys and publicity which will create more fan support for kickstarter

Congrats guys! I can't wait to see how things pick up with kickstarter! Obsidian just killed their funding goals for project eternity. Its a great way to raise funds for indie games and get the word out at the same time.

I have another question i want the developers to answer which is are they upgrading to unity 4 when it comes out or are they going to stick with this one so that can stay with C++ script
LordMord:
moskrat they already have to use C# (or UnityScript or Boo) as a language Unity did never support C++. Also they will port to Unity4 since they also want to bring the game to Linux.
moskrat:
oh sorry i knew unity mainly uses C# but i could've sworn that unity supports C++
LordMord:
i think it supports DLL imports but thats about it. And even then ZPS uses C# and not C++.
