Vote for IM on Steam Greenlight
published Tuesday, 4 Sept. 2012, 12:00 by ZPSHicks
We all want to play Interstellar Marines on Steam and now there is a way to make it happen by up-voting our freshly submitted Greenlight project.
Upon request we've finally submitted Interstellar Marines onto Valve's new community driven "Vote to get indie games on Steam" initiative called Steam Greenlight.
Thanks to those of you who pushed us out of our cocoon, and to all of you for your fantastic support and feedback so far!

FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME,
Your team at Zero Point Software

I suggested they do this via an email. I doubt I was the only one, but I will still happily take all the credit.

Thank you for the recent posts too! Was really starting to wonder what's going on - and now I get to hear the fabulous news of a coming Kickstarter Campaign and (though already upvoted) the initiative to get ISM on Steam!

Upvoted and I'll get my mates to look because they're looking for a good shooter. This is what I'm directing them to, the only thing is how many votes are needed?

Mates, this game looks interesting, and being given demos to play during the development, as opposed to screenshots and videos? A unique concept. You'll notice I myself have not pre-ordered, and for a simple reason(s). We keep getting to see the Shark Creatures and some weapons, and play brief demos, but all we have about the story, character development and setting is:
It's the future, mankind has colonized many planets in the galaxy already and will soon make first contact. You play a space marine.
Well written story, character development and setting is what will set Interstellar Marines aside from other "Space Marine" games like say, "Halo", or "Gears of War". We're told that it will have a rich storyline and setting, but we have heard little to nothing to elaborate on that.
Who is our protagonist, what drives him? Is he an all-around good guy and man of few words like Gordon Freeman? Is he a man struggling to do the right thing, or a tool of the Government? We don't know.
Are the Interstellar Marines being manipulated into starting a war for political purposes? We don't know.
What do we know that sets this aside from other videogames? It has Shark Creatures. I personally believe this game will probably be a fantastic game, but I, and many others need more incentive than "Space Marines" and "Shark Creatures". For this games success, tell us about the story, what truly sets it apart from other videogames.
Sincerely, UnderHand.

@UnderHand good point about us not knowing much of the story.
But but but... please be aware that the shark creature is not the main enemy, in fact if i remember correct it is only meant to be used in one or two levels. There is a main enemy alien race. We have only seen a little bit of the concept art for it in one of the older videos.
What also sets IM aside is immersion, more open ended level design and coop. "Space marines" and "shark creatures" are hardly the sellling points of IM :)

Actually arguably #2. It's tied with another game at 13% now, but http://www.shrewdlogarithm.com/greenlight.htm#[[[4
,1]],{}] lists it as 3rd.
