Log Entry 017: Bullseye debuts on Kongregate

published Tuesday, 15 Feb. 2011, 00:00 by Kenneth

In our humble opinion we believe that Bullseye is one of the best games made in Unity. To test this bold statement, we have entered the Unity contest on Kongregate.com.

A 'lite' version of Bullseye is now available on Kongregate. Play it here!

The contest

Kongregate.com houses one of the biggest collections of browser-based games online, and with their recent support for Unity games, we feel that it would be the ideal place for us to show(off) Bullseye to +10 million gamers who might not know of Interstellar Marines.

We have made a 'lite' version of Bullseye compared to the one on interstellarmarines.com. It's capped to seven challenges and between each challenge we bring a small 'ad', which describes our vision, what we try to achieve and that the full Bullseye experience is available on interstellarmarines.com.

EDIT: We have now unlocked all Bullseye challenges in the 1.0.3 update on Kongregate.

Hopefully we will demonstrate the potential of Unity to all the Kongregate gamers and give them a good gaming experience, as well as attract many new users to our own community... oh yeah... and hopefully we'll also win the contest...

The rules of the contest are summarized here:

"The 25 highest-rated entries will automatically become finalists, winners will be judged based on creativity, innovation, use of Unity, and how fun they are to play.
Last day voting ends February 22, 2011.
Winners will be announced on February 28, 2011!"

Help us spread the word! Use the newest trailer to convince your friends to play on Kongregate, post your scores on Facebook and forums to kick off some friendly competition - anything to get the talk going.
We hope for your support, and that you will play Bullseye on Kongregate and remember to give it your rating (1-5 stars), so we can make it to the final!'

I hope this goes well. Even if you don't go to Kongregate, you should pop over and rate Bullseye 5/5. It's currently fifth, and could win up to $10,000 in a Unity game contest.

nice idea...but really, a ad after each challenge? Consider each challenge is shorter then a trip to the bathroom, it sounds like it be annoying going

challenge, ad, challenge, ad, challenge, ad, challenge, ad etc

why not let players enjoy all the challenges in a row and then have one big, involving message at the end?

Needs more votes, but sadly it doesn't appear that it's going to do too well on Kongregate. A 'lite' version of Running Man would have done better, though if you plan on throwing that out there later as well then it doesn't matter.

The fact that we've gotten so many people here from this contest is the main thing :) but ya a lite versoin of running man would be the bomb!
