ZPS at Gamespot UK

published Friday, 3 July 2009, 00:00 by ZPSHicks

On June 25 2009 we went to England to visit Gamespot UK. We had been invited to guest their weekly Podcast. We also got the chance to sit down and play our "Publisher Demo" from GDC 2008 and have a good chat about Interstellar Marines and AAA Indie. Good stuff!

A few emails back and forth and we where set to go to England to visit the Gamespot UK offices in central London. We brought our two XPS monsters (M1730) basically because we never leave home without them and because we could have Guy Cocker, the Features Editor of GameSpot UK, try out our coop demo.

Enough talk! Sit back and relax to the video we made from the trip: Our first "Road movie" don't worry we will evolve these types of videos as we move forward! :)

The Gamespot UK Podcast

Click here to go to Gamespot UK to listen to the Podcast
Guy, Mark, Kristian, San and Kim talks about various subjects relating other developers and publishers for the first part of the Podcast, so if you just want to skip to the talks about Interstellar Marines and AAA Indie it is about 2/3 in. We really had as good time at Gamespot UK and you can be sure that this is not the last time we track down gaming sites to talk about Interstellar Marines and AAA Indie. :)

We also decided to have a special honorary Spearhead competition:
The rules where simple, all who listened to the Podcast on Gamespot UK where asked to go to www.interstellarmarines.com and sign up as Marines and afterwards send us an email with their Marine name. We would then select five lucky winners from all the emails. (The selection was completely random)

Big congratulations to:

1. iggy_ogg
2. vanillabear
3. DippyDolittle
4. Braqoon
5. Helios

ALL five Marines have been rewarded with a Spearhead account.
Welcome on board, Marines!

Guy Cocker's "Hands-On" with Interstellar Marines

Check out Guy Cocker's "Hand-On" with Interstellar Marines
Based on the talks we had and the coop sessions we played before the Podcast, Guy have created a nice article about Interstellar Marines and our AAA Indie strategy. I have to say that, since we didn't have time to iterate on what we talked about, the article is about 85% factual correct. Which elements is correct and which is not? Well, you just will have to follow the development right here on www.interstellarmarines.com! :)

Interstellar Marines gamepage update on Gamespot.com

Guy made sure that our lastest released videos where uploaded on our gamepage on Gamespot.com, which means that other then on our own community site, Gamespot now holds a very updated gamepage for Interstellar Marines!

Thanks you so very much Guy and a big thanks to you Mark as well. We love you guys.

FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME
