Co-op is here with the nail-bitingly intense The NeuroGen Incident co-op mission!

The NeuroGen Incident

After four months of hard work, today we are massively proud to announce that our very first full co-op experience has been released!

Interstellar Marines is a game built on the promise of awesome co-op, and The NeuroGen Incident is the first time we've unleashed the full power of our co-op experience. Built in a level 6 times the size of our largest multiplayer map, The NeuroGen Incident allows you to play through one of the pivotal stories in the development of the Interstellar Marines program.

With difficulty levels ranging from Easy all the way to the legendary Interstellar Marines, The NeuroGen Incident can be played through multiple times with a different experience and path every game. You and your co-op friends will be fighting intelligent enemies, in different areas with divergent paths to success each time you fire up Interstellar Marines! We've even added several new Steam achievements for you to achieve during the fight.

Its a wee bit dark. I feel like ZPS is relying on the dark to and tension and suspend. if you look at half life, none of those levels get too dark and yet it is one of the best games ever. For now, I actually prefer Get Killed by Bots over Co-op. But thats just me.

I absolutely loved the first iteration of co-op. A few serious frame drops on occasion, but the experience was great.

I loved the co-op. I was scared stiff the first time. But with friends it got extremely tactical and basically all around AWESOME. The levels were great and well designed and were unique and different. Eventually it wasn't as scary the first time. But on a few occasions I swear I came close to soiling my pants... Ugh....

Wauw....

Great Coop mission.
It updated on my laptop, but unfortunately not on my gaming rig????

My gaming rig still has Update 12 and it seems to stay that way :(

Otherwise... Great game.

Where can I play it?

I backed this back in... 2009 (?!?) - until now there was a little online player. Is that gone?

This update is incredible and exactly what backers have been eating for! You guys did great!

Aside from bug fixes brought on by the co-op addition where do you plan to take the game from here? More guns, story or enemies?

Now, I know Im late in this but Bug report:

At one of the two "emergency power generations (the first two)" you can jump on the button on the table and get on top of the fence...when over you cant die or get back, only suicide.

Seems odd that the lights are off but the gravity's still working and air. (I knows its a simulation but still)

Also, to mention it again will Melee be brought in? (enamys have it why not us?)

(need not even be that strong and be completely ineffective vs some enamys (land sharks/meks) so only to be used to say, back-stab some enamys, harm lesser enamys or simply just rifle shove them away for a bit.)

(my bro asked see...)

I was pretty impressed, I was specifically waiting for CO-OP,
There seem to be some sever lag points namely when announcements audio (I saw this was addressed with audio buffering) and at critical points when someone has just been gunned down by a bot.

I can't wait to see more maps or COOP added to existing maps.

Game on guys keep it up, I love it.

Guys when you are on your profile, you are able to LINK your Steam account to your Interstellar Marines account, go to your profile editing (hit purchase and look to the right) You will see the steam icon.
You will have to log in and that's all there is to it

"Those corridors looks way too sterile in terms of lacking objects/mess and dirt/rust/dust/etc.
Everything looks like was set by some pedant that wanted to make things looks clear, empty and perfectly arranged in space after he cleaned every wall and cube so they were free from even a single bacteria.?
Also there is lack of materials. Every surface of the materials looks the same, flat like everything was made from some kind of rubber or matt plastic.?"
